<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise information management system which can make effective use of a database used for the development of merchandise, propaganda, advertisement and sales. <P>SOLUTION: The management of users and the management of status of merchandise information stored in a merchandise database 13 are simultaneously carried out, and the users are distinguished and managed by a user management part 11a. A processing permission part 11b permits the use states of specific merchandise information for every specific user in accordance with the status of the merchandise information managed by a status management part 11c.
