<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To considerably enhance the load capacity, rigidity and accuracy by allowing more loads to be also applied to a rolling element even at a portion close to a crowning end by forming a basically elliptical crowning on an end portion of a raceway surface of a guide block (in a case of a ball guide and a roller guide) and an outer cylinder (in a case of a ball spline and a ball bush). <P>SOLUTION: A rolling mechanical element comprises a first member 11 having a raceway surface 14, and a second member 12 with the first member fitted thereto via a rolling element 13 capable of guiding the first member 11 in a predetermined direction. Since the rolling element 13 is accessible to the raceway surface 14 in an arranged condition, the first member 11 is movable in the guiding direction of the second member 12, and a crowning 14a of a basically elliptical shape is formed on an end portion of the raceway surface 14 of the first member 11 which is an access point of the rolling element 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
