PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sink having excellent heat dissipating capacity and high cooling performance. SOLUTION: In a heat sink 1 having a plurality of sheet fins 3 erected on the surface of a base portion 7 and a ventilation path 5 formed in the gap between the sheet fins 3, at least one end portion of at least either one sheet fin 3 is arranged projecting outward from the outer peripheral edge of the base portion 7. Other than an outlet 5C that is formed by both end portions of the sheet fin 3, an outlet 5D opening in the direction of the plate thickness of the base portion 7 is formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
