PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set a desired hysteresis load to a treading force in an accelerator pedal device. SOLUTION: The accelerator pedal device comprises a pedal arm 30, a spindle 11, a torsion type return spring 40, a rotor 20 that can integrally hold the pedal arm, can turn about the spindle, and has a circular arc sliding surface 23a having the center coaxial with the spindle as a hysteresis generating mechanism for generating the hysteresis load in the treading force in response to the movement of the pedal arm, and a friction member 50 having the oscillating center S2 near the spindle 11 rather than the sliding surface 23a and disposed to contact with the sliding surface. One end 41 of the return spring 40 is locked with an free end side 52 of the friction member 50, and the other end 42 is locked with a side wall 23b of the rotor 20.
