PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of shock following turning on/off of an electric supercharger, in a supercharging device having the electric supercharger for assisting a turbo supercharger. SOLUTION: This electric supercharging system has the turbo supercharger driven by exhaust gas of an engine, the electric supercharger that is interposed in an intake passage on the downstream side of the turbo supercharger and is driven by the motor, and an inter cooler disposed in an intake passage on the downstream side of the turbo supercharger and on the upstream side of the electric supercharger. The intake passage on the downstream side of the inter cooler has a bypass passage disposed bypassing the electric supercharger and a bypass valve disposed in the bypass passage. The electric supercharger and the bypass valve are controlled in connection with each other. When the air flow in the bypass passage does not substantially occur even when the bypass valve is opened, the bypass valve is switched between opening and closing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
