PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering gear for a vehicle capable of controlling steering based on vehicle speed even if an ignition switch is turned off during traveling. SOLUTION: In SBW_ECU of this steering gear for a vehicle, an off condition of the ignition switch is detected to output off-notification in Step S101, and vehicle speed information is fetched from ABS_ECU and the vehicle speed of zero per hour (0 km/h) is detected to output vehicle body zero information in Step S105. In Step S113, when the off-notification of the ignition switch is outputted (in S103, Yes), and when the vehicle speed is zero per hour (in S107, Yes), supply of a driving power to ABS_ECU by a battery is stopped.
