PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply unit capable of reducing the number of parts and an occupying area in a simpler structure. SOLUTION: This switching power supply unit comprises a DC power supply VCC, a switching device Q for switching the DC power supply VCC, a diode D<SB>1</SB>for superimposing the overshoot voltage generated by switching on the input voltage of the DC power supply VCC, and a circuit having an inductor L<SB>1</SB>and a capacitor C<SB>1</SB>for smoothing the voltage of a waveform beyond a positive input voltage in the overshoot voltage.
