PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the visibility of a display surface in a double bearing reel having the display surface. SOLUTION: A counter part 4 is mounted on the front top surface of a body member and provided with the display surface 5a for displaying the water depth of a terminal tackle and the position of a fish swimming layer on two standards from the water surface and the bottom. The display surface 5a is a liquid crystal by a method for display with 7 segments. The counter part 4 is tilted so that the front side is the upper part. The tilt angleαwhich is an angle between a mounted surface 9a of a fishing rod and the display surface 5a is set so as to be within the range of≥5 to <20°. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
