PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation switch device for a vertically movable furniture with favorable attaching property to the vertically movable furniture and improved workability, capable of holding a vertical movement switch during a raising action and automatically returning to a stop position when one lets go during a lowering action without additionally providing a special member such as a plate spring, and capable of corresponding to a wide operation angle range. SOLUTION: The operation switch device 40 is provided with a toggle switch 44 having three positions, and it is changed over by an inner bracket 50 fixed to an operation lever 46. A torsion coil spring 54 constantly energizes the inner bracket 50 against self-weight of the operation lever 46 so as to automatically return the toggle switch 44 from an upper change over position to the stop position when one lets go during the lowering action and maintain a lower change over position during the raising action. Consequently, necessity is eliminated to additionally provide a special member such as a plate spring on the rear face side or the like of the vertically moving furniture, special positioning is unnecessary, and mounting workability is improved also.
