PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of screening a therapeutic agent for a cutaneous disease accompanied with itchy symptom, and the cutaneous disease therapeutic agent. SOLUTION: This screening method of the therapeutic agent for the cutaneous disease accompanied with the itchy symptom includes processes (1) and (2). That is, the method comprises (1) the process for evaluating PAR2 inhibition activity of a tested substance, and (2) the process for selecting the tested substance having the PAR2 inhibition activity as the cutaneous disease therapeutic agent, based on a result in the process (1). The present invention provides also the therapeutic agent for the cutaneous disease accompanied with the itchy symptom containing a compound having the PAR2 inhibition activity as an effective component.
