PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a filtration time of cutting oil and increase the precipitation effect of cut powder. SOLUTION: A filtering device has a cutting oil feeding vessel 1 into which the cutting oil containing the cut powder flows, a filtration drum 2 to separate the cutting oil into the cut powder and filtered oil by rotation in the cutting oil feeding vessel 1 while it is wholly immersed in the cutting oil of the cutting oil feeding vessel 1 and passing the cutting oil from the outer side of a filter 2a tensed along its outer periphery to its inner side, and drive power transmission members 7a, 7b, 8 to transmit drive power from a drive source 6 to the filtration drum 2.
