PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner with a highly reliable electric blower by efficiently cooling a control part which controls the operation of the electric blower. SOLUTION: The electric blower 7 of the vacuum cleaner has an impeller 20 producing suction air by rotation, a casing 23 enclosing the impeller 20, and an exhaust part 21 exhausting a part of an air stream sucked by the impeller 20 on the outer periphery of the casing 23. The control part (13, 18) controlling the operation of the electric blower 7 is arranged in an exhaust flow passage from the exhaust part 21 provided on the casing 23 to a discharge part from which exhaust air exhausted from the electric blower 7 is discharged into the atmosphere.
