PURPOSE: A method for alarming/maintaining the remaining amount of a battery is provided to alarm the remaining amount of a battery through a voice that can be easily recognized, and to turn off other operations except minimal functions, thereby preventing a battery from being exhausted. CONSTITUTION: An MSM detects the remaining amount of a battery through a battery sensor(S301). The MSM decides whether the battery is in low state(S302). If so, the MSM outputs an alarm message signal to a voice processor, and the voice processor receives the alarm message signal to output a voice(S303). The MSM converts into a battery-saving mode to turn off an LCD and an LED, or converts into a partial display mode to change a bell sound into a short bell mode(S304). The MSM detects the remaining amount of the battery, and decides whether the battery is in low state(S305). If not, the MSM cancels the battery-saving mode and performs a normal process(S306).
