PURPOSE: A digital TV and a channel editing method therefor are provided to easily grasp the other channels except for a currently selected channel by composing a channel editing picture as multi-pictures. CONSTITUTION: The first and second tuners(101,102) tune broadcasting signals. The first and second signal processing units(107,108) process image signals inputted through the first and second tuners(101,102). If a channel editing picture selection command is inputted through a key input unit(104), a microcomputer(105) performs a control operation so that a channel editing picture formed as a plurality of multi-pictures is displayed. The microcomputer(105) controls the first and second tuners(101,102) so that a corresponding channel is tuned through the first and second tuners(101,102) according to a command inputted in the channel editing picture by a user. The microcomputer(105) performs a control operation so that a corresponding editing function is performed according to a request command. A switching unit(103) selectively outputs the channel tuned through the first and second tuners(101,102) to the first and second signal processing units(107,108) according to a control signal of the microcomputer(105). An image processing unit(109) processes the image signal processed through the first and second signal processing units(107,108) according to a control signal of the microcomputer(105) so that the image signal is displayed as a still image or a moving picture on a corresponding region among a plurality of the multi-pictures. A memory(106) stores still images of the other channels except for the channel selected by the user according to a control signal of the microcomputer(105).
