The transport arrangement transports workpieces (6) with auxiliary transport arrangements (5), such as palettes and workpiece carriers, and has a primary part (2) of a linear motor that generates a magnetic field along the transport path. The auxiliary transport arrangement is formed by the secondary part of the linear motor. The transport arrangement positions workpieces in the processing station in addition to transporting workpieces.
