The connector has an inlaid element(14) made from a material which in case of fire would be adequately temperature resistant, and a temperature non-resistant support element(12) enclosing the inlaid element. The inlaid element and support element are fastened to an upright. A spacer(20) made of temperature resistant material is fastened to the inlaid element and protrudes from it in the direction of the supporting side of the connector by such an amount that spacer ends flush with the outer surface of the support element.
