OPTICAL ELEMENT, PLANE LIGHTING EQUIPMENT AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE IMPROVING USE EFFICIENCY OF FRONT BRIGHTNESS

PURPOSE: An LCD device is provided to configure an organic luminous layer in white luminous color, and to make a light emitted from the luminous layer pass through a glass substrate and emitted outside an organic electro luminescent element. CONSTITUTION: A light emitted from a plane lighting element(4) is incident on an incident surface(6). Plural projections(7) are provided on a surface opposite to the incident surface(6). All the projections(7) are substantially disposed by corresponding to opening portions(11) of each pixel(10) in an LCD panel(2) one to one. The plane lighting element(4) consists of a linear luminous element and a plane light guide for introducing a light through one end from the linear luminous element and emitting the light from a plane light emitting surface.
