PURPOSE: A method for controlling a CPCCH(Common Power Control Channel) in a mobile communication system is provided to store and output a power control signal through an input buffer having resources within a range of an available power control sub channel regardless of a data rate, thereby reducing buffer resources of a system. CONSTITUTION: The first I and Q channel input buffers input a data rate, start offset values for each channel, and a sub channel selection signal from a system controller(S40). The first I and Q channel input buffers input a power control signal through an I channel and a Q channel(S41). The first I and Q channel input buffers store the power control signal inputted through the I channel and the Q channel within a range only of an available power control sub channel, based on the start offset values, and output the stored power control signal(S42,S43).
