PURPOSE: An installation sensor of convenient devices in a vehicle is provided to diagnose defects when normal installations are detected when initial power is fed to various convenient devices, safety devices and driving assistant devices. CONSTITUTION: In feeding initial power, an ECU(Electronic Control Unit) flags of various option devices are checked(S102). In detecting an installation flag of optional option device, a self-diagnosis is performed according to a driving by recognizing as an installation of the device and the result is stored and outputted(S104,S105). Without detecting the installation flag, a self-diagnosis port is set as a default by recognizing as an uninstallation of the device. Thereby, the production cost of a vehicle is reduced.
