PURPOSE: A steering system for a forklift truck is provided to increase the torque of a steering wheel by changing relief pressure. CONSTITUTION: In a steering system for a forklift truck, a kingpin incline sensor(112) detects the incline angle of a kingpin, and outputs an electric signal. A steering wheel sensor(113) detects the rotary speed of a steering wheel(W), and outputs an electric signal. A controller(114) receives the signals from the sensors, and outputs a control signal. A pressure reducing unit(106) discharges pressure oil, and keeps the pressure of the steering system under setting pressure according to the control signal if the pressure of the steering system reaches the setting pressure. |
