PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plaster cast cover easy of attachment or removal, and useful for protecting the cast and preventing the patient's clothes and bedding from contamination by powder produced from the cast, and also for decorating the cast. SOLUTION: Stretched synthetic fiber-mixed threads are used. Compound threads containing processed synthetic wave fibers or colored natural fibers are knit with the stretched synthetic fiber-mixed threads into a tubular shape. The plaster cast is inserted into the tubular cover, which is then shrunken, closely attached and fixed to the cast by applying hot air. Hot air from a hair drier is useful for shrinking the cover, and scissors are available to tear off the cover from the cast. The cover is easy to handle and replaceable any time if necessary.
