COMPACT SELF-BALLASTED FLUORESCENT LAMP AND LIGHTING EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp, in which rising characteristics of luminous flux is improved by a simple constitution and furthermore assembling is superior.

SOLUTION: A lighting device 50 having a substrate 51 in which a narrow tube penetrating hole 52 is formed and having electronic components 53 outputs high-frequency power to a light emitting tube 20 having inflection bulbs 21a, 21b, 21c. A cover body 40 has a base 42 on one end side and a holder 43 on another end side. A narrow tube 30a protruding from the end part of the light emitting tube 20 and having a bending part 32b in the middle part is arranged by bringing the tip side part 32c rather than the bending part 32b against the base part 32d of the light emitting tube 20 side nearer to the axial line 1 passing along the center C1 of the base 42. The main amalgam 31 is housed on the base 42 side rather than the electric component 53 with comparatively much calorific value of the tip side part 32c. The bending part 32b is arranged on the light emitting tube 20 side nearer than the substrate 51, and the tip end side part 32c is extended and placed on the base 42 side by penetrating through the narrow tube insertion hole 52.
