PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable lift electromechanical valve actuator for further efficiently operating an internal combustion engine, and reducing problems regarding the amount of power consumption, noises, vibration, and wear. SOLUTION: A variable lift electromechanical valve actuator (10) used for an internal combustion engine is provided. An electromechanical valve (20) has a first or upper electromagnet (52), a second or lower electromagnet (54), and a hydraulic lifting mechanism (80). The upper electromagnet is stuck to a housing (40), and the lower electromagnet slides in cooperation with the hydraulic lifting mechanism.
