METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WATER CLEANING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an effect of sufficient sterilization and cleaning of water, even if it is foul water or seawater, or the like in a great quantity and at a high velocity of flow. SOLUTION: An ozone injection pipe 4 and a steam injection pipe 5 are respectively connected to a ballast pipe 1 for discharging ballast water 2 in a ballast tank of a ship. Ozone is injection from the ozone injection pipe 4 into the water 2 flowing in the ballast pipe 1. Simultaneously with or before or after the ozone injection, steam is injected from the steam injection pipe 5. As a result, a big effect of sterilization and cleaning can be attained by synergistic effect of the ozone and the steam. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
