METHOD FOR PROTECTING CONTROL CHANNEL IN THE OPTICAL INTERNET

PURPOSE: A method for protecting a control channel in the optical Internet is provided to present a multistage protection mechanism for control channels in order to offer a safe communication control environment in the case of using an out-of-fiber control method in an optical Internet. CONSTITUTION: In the case of using an out-of-fiber control method for control channel protection, a router in an optical Internet system receives a CCPP(Control Channel Protection Protocol) initiation signal according to a GMPLS(Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching) protocol operation(S810). Then, after confirming the attribute of a protection group that its own node supports(S830), the router executes a control channel transfer function(S850).
