PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation unit which is equipped with a mountable and removable mechanism capable of being connected to a portable electronic apparatus only when needed. SOLUTION: The power generation unit 1 is provided with a mountable and removable mechanism 4 which is to be attached to the portable electronic apparatus 2, and output terminals 5 and 6 which supply the portable electronic apparatus with power.
