PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file control system which guarantees that a business process is operated by holding correct information in an external file in operating a business system. SOLUTION: When starting the process of the business system, an information definition file 3 necessary for operating this system decides whether or not any unauthorized update has been done by using an information definition file update confirming file 4. When it is decided that any unauthorized update has been made to the information definition file 3, the information definition file 3 is written in an unauthorized update detection file 5. Also, the information of a backup file 6 whose validity is guaranteed is copied to the information definition file written in the unauthorized update detecting file 5, and the status prior to the unauthorized update is automatically restored, and the processing of the business process is continued.
