<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive system especially for an automobile utilizing an effective space to a maximum limit to decrease an axial length of the drive system as short as possible. <P>SOLUTION: This drive system 10 used in the automobile, for instance, is equipped with a centrifugal mass structure 70 generally mounted in a drive shaft 11, a drive unit 18 provided with an electric machine 30, a stator structure 32 and a rotor structure 31. The rotor structure 31 is mounted in the centrifugal mass structure 70, the stator structure 32 and the rotor structure 31 are placed closely adjacent to each other in a radial direction. This drive system 10 can utilize to a maximum limit an effective space in the inside of the drive unit 18 and can decrease as short as possible an axial length of the drive unit 18 axially necessary relating to a rotary shaft A. The centrifugal mass structure 70 has a contour relating to the rotary shaft A in a manner wherein a receiving space 71 is formed in the radial direction inside the electric machine 30, the receiving space 71 is surrounded in at least one surface by the centrifugal mass structure 70, and at least one additional component element of the drive unit 18 is installed in the receiving space 71. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
