<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire examination information for identifying non-DICOM-format images obtained by a medical imaging apparatus, whenever necessary. <P>SOLUTION: A medical imaging apparatus 16 outputs character information representing examination information data received from a server 14 through a terminal 22 and captured medical image data to a data processing apparatus 18. The data processing apparatus 18 acquires examination information data corresponding to the medical image data from the server 14 in advance and stores and manages the examination information data in a local database of the data processing apparatus 18. It is thus possible to acquire desired examination information from the local database of the data processing apparatus 18 whenever necessary to generate DICOM data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
