The invention relates to a potentiometer. The inventive potentiometer is of the type comprising: a resistive track (5); a collector plate (7); and a rotating wiper (2) which is disposed between the track and the plate, which is in slide contact with both elements and the rotation of which can be blocked temporarily at pre-determined positions in cavities disposed between the wiper (2) and the collector plate (7). The wiper (2) comprises two different or independent stacked laminar parts, i.e. a first part which is used to establish the sliding contact on the resistive track (5) and a second part which provides the sliding support on the collector plate (7).
