PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that there are so far no effective methods for removing malodors generated in factories, refuse treatment plants, etc., and chemical malodors by chlorine, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, etc., and by decomposition of foodstuffs etc., and at present there are means of adsorption by active carbon, oxygen, catalyst, etc., but the high labor and cost for exchange are needed because of rapid saturation and therefore there are limitations in utilization and the large scale removal of the odors is difficult.
SOLUTION: The upper part of a tank made of a metallic plate etc., is provided with an outlet for gas and the upper part of a lower water tank is provided with an inlet. Wire netting is laid in the central part of the tank and RB ceramics are laminated thereon. A funnel is installed in the upper part within the tank and the activated water stored in the water tank is sucked up through a pump and is spouted from the funnel. Malodorous gas is put from inlet into the tank and is passed through the inside of the RB ceramics to decrease the odors. Further, the most of the odors are removed by the fountain from the funnel and the gas made odorless is released from the outlet into the atmosphere.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
|
