EQUALIZER AND EQUALIZING METHOD FOR SINGLE CARRIER RECEIVING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equalizer and an equalizing method for a single carrier receiving apparatus having an accelerated equalization convergence speed and stabilized equalization performance.

SOLUTION: The equalizer includes: a filter part for filtering a multiplex route of a received signal; a field synchronism extracting part for extracting a field synchronizing signal having two signals of mutually different levels in the received signal; a field synchronism storage part for storing k-th (k is natural number) field synchronizing signal in the extracted field synchronizing signals; and an error calculating part for calculating an equalization error value by using the k-th field synchronizing signal repeatedly N times (N is natural number). The filter part updates a coefficient of a filter by using the equalization error value.
