PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaping method for a retainer of a ball bearing capable of obtaining a sufficient supporting force of balls and improving the wear-durability. SOLUTION: In the shaping method for the retainer of the ball bearing rotatably retaining a plurality of balls between an outer ring and an inner ring in a pocket, holes 5 for the pocket are bored at a plurality of positions of a circumference of a disk, the circumference of the disk bored where the holes 5 for the pocket are bored is raised by drawing, an annular intermediate blank material 6 is formed by piercing a middle part of the disk, and the pocket 3 provided with a spherical recess 31 by pressing the periphery of the hole 5 for the pocket from within with a ball jig 7.
