PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that it is difficult to realize easy, high-quality and inexpensive image reading and projected image adjustment because a dedicated measuring instrument and expertise are required to read and adjust a screen image in a DLP projector. SOLUTION: The screen image is read by an image reading means (image sensor) arranged on the central optical axis of an incident optical path when turning off an optical switch on a reflection type optical switch panel by utilizing the constitution and the action of the reflection type optical switch panel and a projection lens in the DLP projector. Then, projection adjusting processing (processing for correcting the projected image and the update of setting or the like) is performed in an image signal processing part based on read image information, and the read image information is outputted as monitor or is utilized as data. By contriving the projected image (test pattern or the like), processing for simultaneously processing image projection and image reading is realized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
