PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic storage element in which recording can be carried out with a small magnetic field by lowering the coercive force of the entire storage layer and recorded information can be held stably by increasing the coercive force of the entire storage layer to some extent except the recording time, and to provide a recording method of the magnetic storage element, and a magnetic storage device in which a recording current can be decreased and storage is stabilized. SOLUTION: In the magnetic storage element for holding a record by the orientation of magnetization in a magnetic layer, a storage layer 1 for holding the record consists of first, second and third magnetic layers 2, 3 and 4 formed sequentially, the first and third magnetic layers 2 and 4 are composed of a transition metal and the second magnetic layer 3 is composed of a rare earth metal. Furthermore, the magnetic storage element is arranged such that orientations of magnetization (102 and 103, 103 and 104) of the first magnetic layer 2 and the second magnetic layer 3, the second magnetic layer 3 and the third magnetic layer 4 are anti-parallel under room temperature state, and the sum of magnetization of the first magnetic layer 2 and the third magnetic layer 4 is larger than the magnetization of the second magnetic layer 3 under room temperature state.
