PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new asymmetric disulfide compound having bioactivity; and to provide a method for producing the compound. SOLUTION: The new asymmetric disulfide compound is represented by the general formula (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>is a 1-8C alkyl group, a 3-8C cycloalkyl group, a 1-8C alkoxy group, a 2-8C alkoxycarbonyl group, a halogen atom or a nitro group, and when two or more R<SP>1</SP>s are present, each R<SP>1</SP>may be the same or different; m is 0 or an integer of 1-5; R<SP>2</SP>is a 1-8C alkyl group, a 3-8C cycloalkyl group, a 1-8C alkoxy group, a 2-8C alkoxycarbonyl group, a halogen atom or a nitro group, and when two or more R<SP>2</SP>s are present, each R<SP>2</SP>may be the same or different; m is 0 or an integer of 1-4; and R<SP>3</SP>is a 1-12C alkyl group, a 3-12C cycloalkyl group or a 6-12C aromatic group).
