PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder capable of preventing the friction coefficient of a feed roller and a pickup roller from lowering by adsorbing paper powder electrostatically adhered to the feed roller and the pickup roller. SOLUTION: This sheet feeder comprises the feed roller rotatingly driven in the sheet feeding direction, a separate roller allowed to abut on the feed roller and rotatingly driven in the reverse direction to the sheet feeding direction through a torque limiter, and the pickup roller feeding sheets into a nip between the feed roller and the separate roller. The feeder also comprises a conductive paper powder adsorbing roller formed integrally with an idler roller between the feed roller and the pickup roller, and a bias charge is applied to the paper powder adsorbing roller.
