PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for performing processing control based on a security policy by particularly acquiring document attributes of a document with respect to a system for ensuring security of an information system.

SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a policy holding means for holding the security policy in which rules of handling related to the document are described, a policy rewriting means for rewriting the security policy held in the policy holding means with a security policy from the outside, and an operation control means for controlling operation to the document according to the security policy managed by a policy management means.
