<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell which is more superior in a photoelectric conversion characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: The organic solar cell includes an active layer 3 which is formed between a positive electrode 1 and a negative electrode 2 containing an electron donative organic compound and compound semiconductor particles, and generates electric charge by irradiation with light. In the solar cell, a positive hole blocking layer 4 having an ionizing potential larger than that of the compound contained in the active layer 3 is arranged between the negative electrode 2 and the active layer 3. Since positive holes generated in the active layer 3 can be restrained from moving to the negative electrode 2 side at the interface between the active layer 3 and the positive hole blocking layer 4, the positive holes can be efficiently moved to and collected by the positive electrode 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
