<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive mechanism capable of changing the moving speed of a driven element while preventing decrease in a driving force. <P>SOLUTION: A vibrating element 2 provided with a piezoelectric element 22 is fixed at a support member 31 slidable in a close proximity spacing direction relative to a driven element 100. One end of a spring 32 is fixed at the support member 31, the other end is abutted on the side of an eccentric pin 33. When the eccentric pin 33 is rotated, a spring force of the spring 32 changes, and an abutting force against the driven element 100 of a convex portion 23 changes, thus modifying the moving speed of the driven element 100. Since the abutting force is adjusted while continuously driving the vibrating element 2, there is no unstable vibration state associated with stopping and starting vibration of the vibrating element 2, and consequently the driving force of the driven element 100 can be prevented from decreasing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
