PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time required for a casting-molding cycle when casting-molding a cylinder sleeve by a centrifugal casting method. SOLUTION: In a process for manufacturing the cylinder sleeve by the centrifugal casting method, compressed air is injected from an injection pipe 186 toward a surface thermometer 154, at least, before spraying cooling water to a cylindrical mold 88. A support member 156 for supporting the surface thermometer 154 is inclinedly moved under rotational action of a rotary shaft 160 of a motor engaged with a through hole of a connection member 162. The surface thermometer 154 is approached or separated to/from the cylindrical mold 88 in accompaniment to the tilting motion therein. When measuring a temperature of the cylindrical mold 88, the injection of compressed air is stopped, and the support member 156 is inclined thereafter to make the surface thermometer 154 sliding-contact with an outer circumferential wall part of the cylindrical mold 88.
