COMPOSITE VIBRATION DAMPER

摘要

A composite vibration damper comprising a magnetic fixing layer, a viscoelastic material layer and a constraining layer sequentially arranged in this order is disclosed. The composite vibration damper is fitted to an object surface by the magnetic force of the magnetic fixing layer when in use. The viscoelastic material layer is formed to have a thickness of not less than 1 mm. With this viscoelastic material layer which is thicker than the constraining layer, the vibration damper can display excellent vibration damping effect over a wide temperature range.
