PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the trouble that a parts count is increased to raise costs due to the need of setting a suction tube independently of a plurality of suction caps in the case where a nozzle array is sucked independently. SOLUTION: Two suction caps 35 are connected by one suction tube 32 so that two systems are sucked by one tube. A notch is formed at a nearly middle point of the tube. Discharge ink is discharged from the notch by pressing the tube by a pressuring roller 33. This is effective also to prevent a pigment ink from fixing particularly when the pigment ink and a dye ink are sucked by different caps. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
