<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which photoreceptive drums and exposure units are speedily and accurately mounted on respective positions in a first housing. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a second housing 15 in which image process units 11Y, 11M, 11C, and 11BK that are housed in a line; a slide member 4 disposed so that the second housing can be pulled in to a mounting position in the first housing 1; and a positioning reference 7 for positioning the housing into the mounting position when the housing is pulled in. The photoreceptive drums 12 of the respective image forming process units are housed in the second housing so that their positions can be mutually changed. Also, through-holes 13 are axially made in the drums 12. Drum shafts 41 are rotatably attached to the first housing so that when the second housing is pulled in to the mounting position in the first housing, the drum shafts 41 are inserted in the through-holes of the respective photoreceptive drums and their leading ends are inserted and fitted in the respective bearing parts of the second housing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
