PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical recording disk capable of forming a light transmission layer having a uniform film thickness distribution by simple operations without requiring intricate facilities. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the optical recording disk comprises fixing a data recording unit 50 provided with a substrate 2 and a recording layer 3 onto a rotatable stage 21, fixing a cap 55 from which a liquid crystal radiation curing resin is discharged to approximately the central part of the data recording unit. discharging the radiation curing resin onto the cap, and rotating the stage to develop the liquid radiation curing resin onto the surface of the data recording unit, thereby forming the light transmission layer 4 on the surface of the data recording unit. The method is characterized in that the film thickness distribution of the light transmission layer is measured and that the temperature T of the cap is controlled according to the film thickness distribution of the light transmission layer.
