The socket block (9) has a housing with a rear wall (1), front cover and side walls (4), a mains connecting cable (5) for connecting the socket block to a voltage supply and at least one built-in socket (6) for connecting the socket block to a voltage supply. The at least one built-in socket is installed in a side wall of the housing. A potential equalization connector has sockets for potential equalization plugs.
