A transfer gearbox (31) has a controllable clutch (2) for optional transfer of driven torque onto first (5) and second (6) driven shafts. The second driven shaft maintains an active link with a motor vehicle's drive shaft via a universal-joint propeller shaft (23). This link fastens on the second driven shaft near a driven gear (20) on the side of the transfer gearbox. An Independent claim is also included for a multi-differential change gearbox that allows a bearing box to tilt in a bearing shell while linked to the bearing shell in a torque-proof manner.
