The system (1) comprises two separate individually controlled brake cylinders (2, 2), transmitting the braking force to at least one brake (3) attached to a wheel by means of a mechanically or hydraulically working mechanism. The brake cylinders (2, 2) as well as the brake (3) can be connected to a mutual control valve (6), facilitating the control of the brake (3) by each of the brake cylinders (2, 2) individually using the control valve (6).
