PURPOSE: A detergent box of a washing machine is provided to secure washing efficiency and prevent waste of detergent by changing capacity of storing detergent of the detergent box if necessary. CONSTITUTION: A detergent box(50) of a washing machine comprises a storing portion(52) of detergent, a main body(56) of the detergent box and an adjusting plate(58). The storing portion of detergent opens an upper surface to put detergent in. The main body of the detergent box as a drawer type has an outlet(54) to carry away detergent with washing water. The adjusting plate is installed to cover a part of an upper surface of the main body of the detergent box to adjust storing capacity of detergent. Thereby, the amount of detergent is adjusted to put in the detergent box by fitting the adjusting plate to guide ribs(68) formed to the main body of the detergent box. |
