PURPOSE: A motion picture decoding method is provided to prevent picture quality from being deteriorated due to an error in PSC(Picture Start Code) information of picture header information. CONSTITUTION: Compressed motion picture packet information is received and decoded(S401). It is judged whether there is PSC information(S402). When there is the PSC information, video packets are decoded according to a normal process(S406). When there is no PSC information, it is judged whether GBSC(Group of Block Start Code) information exists in GOB(Group Of Block) header information of a decoded video frame(S404). When there is no GBSC information, next input packet information is received to search the GBSC information(S403). When the GBSC information exists, video packets are decoded according to the normal process and decoding is performed using an error hiding method applied to previous video packets(S405). |
